I thought that I would share this in the event someone wants to try to revive there dead clock in their Camaro.

My clock hasn't worked since I don't know when. The second hand had also worked its way off the stem and has been laying in the bottom of the housing for years. I had considered doing a quartz conversion so decided to open it up and inspect it. I removed the clock from the tach housing and decided to try to get the original one working before doing the conversion. After some cleaning the contacts with a contact file and the gears with an electronic contact cleaner, I followed up with some Pene-Lube and put 12 v to it. Fifty-eight years later it's running like a clock again. I also cleaned the contacts that winds it every couple of minutes.

I don't see where I can edit my original post. It was Aero-Kroil.
FWIW, I have a 60's vintage rotating lighted Budweiser pocket watch hanging clock that I got working again several years back using the same process (other than the gears required disassembly which was tedious).
