Bracket Mount ID

I was under the car looking up above the axle near fuel tank and noticed this tab on the floor / trunk pan on passenger side. Any idea what this would be for? Looks factory to me but nothing is attached to it.. Car has chambered on in now.. maybe it was anchor point for different type RPO exhaust?

Single exhaust hanger, all bodies came with it.

If you check the 69 AIM, UPC-8, page A4, you can see the bracket and how the exhaust mounts to it.
