My engine stamp and this is where it got interesting for me, but I found this thread on this site. The car in the link was built same week(05A) as mine in the LOS plant. The car in the link is stamped the same way but his engine stamp is off one number to his serial number. Mine is the correct number but stamped across the DZ stamp using random fonts. My guess is same person stamped both .  http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=20518.0

I am sending you a PM.

I think there are probably enough things on the car we can ask about and you can show to keep it in this section.

Someone doing the stamping was having a bad day.

Would that be the same person who stamped the engine?

Odd to see stainless trim on the turn signal lens on a 5A build as they were discontinued during early production and not seen after January/early February 69 builds. The seat belts (5th week of 69) are also early dates for a May build.

I just checked the driver seat belt and it is 13 F 69. The back seat is 12E 69. This car came with deluxe seat belt and front shoulder belts as an option. The shoulder belts are marked 43 C 68 both sides.

The 43 C 68 dated shoulder belt which decodes to the 3rd week of October 1968 seems early for a May 1969 build. More typically from what I've seen, individual seat belts are closely date clustered and dated within a month or so ahead of the build date. Early and late builds differ but mid year production dates were tighter.

I also have a 1969 Camaro from Fletcher's Chevrolet. Would your car happen to have to original Fletcher's license plate frame?  I would like to see what it looked like back then .

You can see the bottom of the license plate holder from Fletcher's on this Camaro:

In order to see the photo of the license plate mounted on the rear of the Camaro, you will need to click on the first photo of this posting.

That had to be one of the last Z28's built at Van Nuys.
