Thank for the reply's. The vin is 124379n584528. I bought the car in march of 77. A few years later when Ohio would still release previous owner records I was able to contact the original owners father who confirmed it was an original Z28. And the history of the original engine and trans. Pot a lot of money and time in rebuilding suspension and new fenders quarters etc. I sold it in 82 to purchase a house. Hopefully it has not been parted out and someone is still burning rubber with it.

I did some personal checking. It was last registered in 2008 and it was in Ohio at that time.

Don't get your hopes up. I found my first car, the one I had in HS and drove through college. Current owner won't sell, but it sits in a machine shed gathering dust.

Great photos and nice work Bryon.  Gman, what was the original color of the car and interior option if you remember.  Thanks.

Thanks for asking, the original color is the blue you see in the pics. White stripes. It had the standard interior in dark blue that I changed out the seats front and back to white with a folding back seat. Also added a console with gauges. At the time these cars were not coveted for being original. I learned from the original owners dad that the engine was blown up and pulled out to disassemble someone stole the trans. I bought it with a 396 and a four speed. I then bought a new LS6 454 short block and installed a set of L89 aluminum heads.
