Transmission Parts Plating?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a little help regarding my original 69 turbo 350 transmission. As part of the cars full restoration I had the transmission rebuilt and would like to have the dipstick tube and linkage brackets re-plated back to what they would have been originally. Someone told me that they were zinc is that correct?
