Had the misfortune of cracking one of my original 302 heads(crack in combustion chamber). Was wondering if anyone has experience with a rebuilder that can do a reliable repair?

It can be fixed but it won't be cheap. There is one place I know in Iowa that repairs heads and blocks.

But there may be a place closer to you. Good luck.

Thanks for the info I'll check them out. I'm in Pacific Northwest haven't found anyone near me yet. Cost is not a huge factor with-in reason, just don't want to have more issues.

All Cast Inc in Tacoma, WA, he is an absolute genius and welding perfectionist. I've had work done by him and couldn't be happier. The owners name is Larry Wallace and his phone number is; (253) 531-7711

I have had Dover cylinder heads in Chattanooga fix one for me. Prob not first class like the above post but did work fine. Cracked combustion chamber into the deck.

If you don't want a welding repair there are companies that do mechanical repairs. I worked for one called Metal Locking Service and we did cylinder heads and blocks. They are located in Buffalo, NY, I'm sure there are others closer to you, Salt Lake I think, if they do smaller pieces like that I wouldn't know. Goggle casting repair, cast iron repair, metal stitching or metal locking.
