Gary, Sadly there are a few shops that can duplicate the broach marks.

The best way to verify stampings is to have a known original for the date stamp in question.

Want to add, I have located transmission for same vin. M22, so it would appear block is legit.

My guess is it's all orig. including the M's for who knows what reason.....

I have a friend that worked at Motor Machine in San Diego. He said they stamped double M's on their rebuilds for warranty claims.
