1969 reproduction Astro Vent cables

Has anyone ever used the reproduction vent cables from OER? The plastic on my originals had cracked and seperated from the lever. Specifically at the point where the push clip holds the cable to the kick panel. No way to repair so I took a chance with reproductions. The lower reproduction vent cable works fine but the upper one I can't seem to open, close the vent door with the lever. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
