I cannot quite read the Yellow Crayon on the rear bulk head.
Any tricks or tips on how to make the Yellow more visible from a digital image?

The photo you attached is zoomed IN too much....    back off so your photo will show a larger area..

I can't see anything that looks like an X.

What do you think the car is? What other details do you have? Build week? Does it have any of the original drivetrain? Axle code?

I know this is a guess, but surely it isn't simply D 1 is it. I can't think of a reason it would be, but that's what I appear to be seeing.

I hope this picture will be more helpful

Don't you hate it when someone uses C4 to open the speaker holes up ? The plasma from the blast might have helped wipe out the crayon marks - lol. Yah, impetuous youth -

What I am seeing.

Have to agree with you.  I now see what looks like a "7" from the pix here.  That said....

If it is a "1" the Z/28 was added later

If it is a "7" the RS was added later.

I agree with the B, as I can see a faint vertical line. good call DW. Whether it is a 1 or a 7, it wouldn't be a Z then right?

I think "B 7" would be non-style trim Z28 with blue interior.  "B 1" would be style trim with blue interior which could be a standard car or an SS 350.  If the car does not have factory style trim, it would probably be "B 7".  Hope that makes sense.  I'm sure others will concur or offer their opinions.  Many knowledgeable folks on this site, so it will be interesting to see what replies come in.

Yes, post a picture of the trim tag. That'll tell us more.
