1969 Rear view mirror casting number

Does a RH accessory rear view mirror have a different casting number on the base than the LH mirror, or what makes it a LH or RH? I don't want to put the wrong mirror back on my car. Thank you, Joe

There were actually a few different casting numbers for the base with the most common being 3874242. The only difference between the driver side and the passenger side mirror is the head itself and the location of the pivot. The top picture below is for the driver side and the lower picture below is for the passenger side. Notice the location of the ball stud for each.

Looks like mine is a 3965923 with date code 5-DMI-9. I'm pretty sure I took this one off my 08E 1969 car..Joe
