What was the factory color of the interior trunk paint on a 05D 1968 SS Norwood Camaro?  I believe it was gray/white spatter paint, but have not been able to find confirmation.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Black & aqua.

Look at the 68 rear antenna thread.  Examples in it plus other locations on the forum.

My understanding is that the Norwood plant used gray/white spatter until approx. mid year, with mine being late May '68 I'm not sure which side of the gray/white changed to aqua/blue line it was on.  Is there any information that is somewhat clear about when the switch was made?

Mine is an early November build and was black and aqua. I thought all Norwood 68's were that way...

Prior to me posting this question, my restoration guy had actually found some documentation stating it should be the gray/white, but it's obvious you guys have proven it is aqua/black.  Thank you so much!!!

What documentation does he have?

He didn't give specifics on the documentation, just that what he found said it was originally gray/white, even painting it that way.  He is now going to repaint it the correct colors.

My '68 03C Norwood car had gray and white.

I've not seen a 68survivor in gray and white. Many examples can be found both here and team Camaro.

These are trunk photos of my 03C '68 Norwood car before the restoration I'm working on now. I bought the car when it was ten years old and the trunk always looked like this. Although the gray is well worn, I don't think it started out as black and then faded to gray because the areas that were covered by the taillight bezel stud nuts are the same color as the exposed areas.

I'm not seeing the pics ?? :-\

So I'm pretty sure trunk mats included with Z87 were black and aqua only. Did some cars have gray/white spatter finish with an black/aqua mat ?

I am curious as to any opinions about the pictures I posted above of my '68 Norwood trunk paint. Wouldn't this be considered gray and white? It looks that way to me. Could this be considered black and aqua?
