I saw this car December 1999 at Friendship Motors in WI. At that time the body tag data was 59 S 723 X11.

It's come a long way.
Learning more and more about less and less...

Maybe there's a slight chance this type of post might deter counterfeiters? If they fake a trim tag, they know they might get busted this way. Ya think? Nah!

Car recently sold at Mecum.

Drivetrain is questionable. Axle definitely not original. Tag looks "off".

Those broach lines are not parallel.  Nothing original about them

Axle doesn't look original.
Transmission doesn't look original.
Engine pad has fake broach marks.
Tag is not the same as it was in 1999.
