Deck lid latch

Would anybody know if the trunk lid latch is painted body color or left raw? I have seen it both ways, I am not sure if the factory changed the way they painted the bottom of deck lid at one point. I noticed it  both ways on cars that a thought where unrestored.

Here is what should be correct for '67 at least. I believe 68-69 is the same however.
NOR - Latch and striker painted with body color.
LOS - Latch painted body color and striker (and bolts) were clean of paint.
The differences were due to how Fisher operated in LOS vs. NOR.
At both plants the latch may have spatter paint on it (over the body color) depending on the painter.
