Hot Rod had a write up on Barrett Jackson and listed some cars that sold. The green Pratt Z is in there and says an already nice car brought back. A forensic document examiner was used to confirm the Z28s paper trail. Writer must not understand Jerrys comments. Page 58 if you want to look. Just got it yesterday

I think this time when they sold it he only certified the paperwork.

This '69 Chevrolet Camarao Z/28 (Lot #2035) has been thoroughly restored by Kent Waters Originals. It comes with voluminous documentation certified by Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish, plus photos of the car in 1969 and step-by-step photos of the restoration process. It is finished in authentic and vibrant Rally Green with white racing stripes and a black bucket seat interior. It has a rare NOS Cross-Ram intake manifold, 4.10:1 differential, and many factory options, including Rally Sport trim, rosewood dash inserts, center console with auxiliary gauges and an Endura front bumper.

This '69 Chevrolet Camarao Z/28 (Lot #2035) will cross the auction block in Scottsdale on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

the barrett jackson catalog even stated the car is a rebody. i guess that shows somebody (the writer) was a bit um, slow in the catchup. and it was bid to $135,000, the number in HotRod must have been with all the added BJ pay checks. The bar it sets is kinda crooked................(no pun intended). It was kinda funny watchin', the bid went to 140,000.00 pretty quick, then the auctioneer announced it was a rebody and the bid amount dropped to 130,000 and it was a struggle to get it back up to 135,000. I've got a video of the whole thing.
and not only did the car "make Hot Rod", it was on the Official Barrett Jackson event T shirts. Yes I bought one.

I guess I don't understand, I don't get hotrod.  Is there something about the car that is bothering collectors?

What's the story with the RS front grill emblem?

Thanks for the PM's and clearification.

Sounds like lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. I gave up on Hot Rod years ago when Frieburger left.

Last year, I received a 3 year/$32 extension offer from Hot Rod. First subscribed in the '60s, 89ยข/mo. sounded like a great deal.

The January 2024 issue carried this notice. Well played Hot Rod!

Marlan Davis was also a big loss.

Less for more, yet you'll love it.

Wow - telling you how great it is, but its really bad if you can get passed the BS.  Sounds very familiar........

This new approach by Hot Rod magazine in nothing more than another perceived value scam placed on customers to entice them to continue buying their products, and is perpetrated by so many other companies in all forms of sales. BUYER BEWARE.
