help with 69 Z28 shifter boot

 Hey guys.  I'm trying to button up my interior on my 69 4 speed car.  No console.   I cant find a view on how the shifter boor goes.   My car has the original  floor and the 4 original screw holes still in it.
    What I need to know is ...   does it go retainer on top then rubber boot flange then carpet then the second rubber flange on the boot then the floor?   There are 2 rubber flanges (or lips) on the factory shifter boot.
