69 tilt column research looking for original info

The pad where the word "LOCK" is moulded on should be rectangular shaped, NOT oval.
Never knew the difference until I saw 69 Camaros with original factory installed tilt wheel option.
They all had the same rectangular pad. 
70+ Camaros had oval shaped pads.
