How rare are they?  I found the RPO production records show 2342 cars, but how many cars are in the CRG database? Is it worth restoring the car because of this option? The car will need alot of work. The car is an RS/SS, air, power window, rear defrost no motor.

Thank you
Mike

Mike,
Not may are around.  We have under 80 in the data base out of over 5K.  If it was just for the head rest, it may not be worth it, but the car is an RS/SS and sounds like it has some nice options.  I would restore it.  Can you send me more data on the car for our data base?

Is there a difference in style between the 67,68 and 69 headrests? How do you tell what is orignial and not? i don't recall ever seeing a 67 with headrests. What would the code be on the cowltag? Or would there be one?

i found what the code was for headrests on the cowl tag  for 67."Y" in field e of the cowl tag. I need to read a little more before I ask a question I guess.  :-[ But still wonder if there was a difference in design for the 3 years.

Yes there was.

All three years were different.

Bert:

Thanks for the great info and Kudos to finding it. First time I've ever seen any pictures of any headrests, let alone of all 3 at the same time. I would have never guessed that there were 3 different headrests.
