Reverse Lever on 69 Z

Have been getting conflicting answers on the finish on the reverse lever (not rod) on a 04D 1969 z 28.  I have heard Black, Natural and gray phosphate.  Can someone confirm this for me?

I had many OEM Shifters and all of the originals I had were black rev lever and silver cad for forward gears

Some say they have seen original silver rev levers and some repops are silver

I have an original low mile set now and it is silver forward gear levers and black rev

The forward levers have the molded on rubber bushing but the rev levers didn't have it so there was a different process for the levers
