QuoteY4C29D...partial vin 14K128338

Y4C29D is the transmission manufacturing plant and date code.

Y - Toledo, Ohio
4 - 1974
C29 - March 29th
D - Day shift

VIN is 14K128338 is:

1 - Chevrolet Motor Division
4 - 1974
K - Kansas City, MO
128338 - Sequential VIN number.

Unless you made a mistake in the plant and date code, it's a Turbo 350 out of a 1974 Nova.

I forgot a 1 after the k....thank u i was wondering if it was a 64? i was only 10 years off lol.....the Y was throwing me off...thats crazy becouse its an origanal V0924FK 327 block wich would indicate 2 speed power glide...has a 2 speed console and if im not mistaken never heard it shift three gears...lol Thank u ED for the quick response i went to the garage and sure enough it has 3 positions in the shifter....I've always just put it in drive If u ever run across any info on 19N514880 any info would much appreciated...it would be dream to have the origanal powerglide back

Pretty common upgrade and why sales of the powerglide plummeted in 69 when the TH350 came out.
