back up lights on my 69 say 5961556 and 7 AMI says 916963 and 4 are they after market or what ?

You're looking at the "assembly" part numbers (916963 & 4) -vs- the "casting number" of the housing (5961556). The assembly consisted of the housing, lens, gasket, etc...
