anyone know what the original markings should be on the 69 camaro lugs I've seen RBW ,cmc and small diamonds.

GM used half a millon lug nuts every day in the 60's, from MANY suppliers, each of which had their own I.D. on the flat end of the nut - I doubt if anyone can claim that any particular one was "correct".

ok, how how would you see the markings if the lug nuts have the waffle stamping on them from the machine that put them on?

The multiple-spindle nutrunner that torqued the lug nuts at the car assembly plant didn't put any markings on the lug nuts - that waffle pattern identified the supplier of the nut, and was stamped into the nut when it was manufactured. That waffle pattern only identified one of MANY different lug nut suppliers - each had their own marking.

Yes. The fastener bins on both sides of the line containing the lug nuts were re-stocked by part number, not by the supplier marking on the nuts.
