I was in an antique store with my wife when I came across a stack of old magazines.  Buried in the pile was an old Popular Science from December 1965.  One of the articles on the cover said:  "Sneak Preview:  Chevy's New Rival for the Mustang".  Inside was an article on the Panther with a photo that looks like a Chevrolet version of a Mustang II with a 70's Pinto front end (Doesn't look like that?).  Anyway, I found it interesting and thought you guys might like to see it.  So here it is...enjoy.

Any chance you could e-mail higher res scans? I appreciate what has beenn posted, but have trouble reading it.

Thanks!

Actually, it looks a lot like one of the pics of an early clay model. It makes it look stubby like the mustang.
I'd appreciate copies of higher res scans, too.

Steve,
If you send them to me, I'll replace those files with clearer ones.

I tried to post clearer scans, but the size limit would not let me.  I will send them to Kurt so that he can post a better quality scan for all to see.

Done.

All I do is open them in Irfanview, resize them to 800 pixels wide (so they fit on most screens), and then save them at 65% jpg quality (one still was over 150, so I had to save it at 50% quality). Those files are the same size or smaller than the original first two posted.

I've tried using other programs, but Irfanview causes less distortion (IMO) *and* saves smaller too!
