After market fit

Man...! I've been trying to install new after market door panels in my 69 coupe for most of the weekend!!  What I thought was going to be a easy job has turned out to be just the worst.  So far I have the passengers side on.  Nothing fits and it takes way too many dry fittings and triming to make them fit.  Even then the one I have on could fit better.   They almost fit like the wheel house moldings that are out there!  Is it me?   Or the product?
