a friend has a pair of two piece rotors that he took of of a 69 chevelle years ago. the hubs are in great shape but the disks are shot. I have 2 questions , are these the same exact parts that were used on a 69 camaro? and if so does anyone know where to get the disks?  thanks in advance

no 2 peice rotors on a 69 chevelle.  look for dics on e-bay. 69 camaro used single piston solid rotors i think.

The setup should be the same as on the camaro. I also have a set off supposedly a GTO in need of disks.

My 69 Z I used to own had 54k miles on it when I got it and had 1973 license plates on it. It had it's original 2 piece rotors still in place. It was an 04C built car

The basic disc brake rotors are the same for all J-52 brake Camaros, Chevelles (1967-69) and Nova (68 and 69).  The grooved rotors (as shown in the auction) started in the 1970 model year.  The earlier rotors were not grooved.  .965" is the minimum thickness you can cut them down to according to state inspection stations.  They can actually be turned down to .935-940" without any issues.........especially on a show car.  New, rotors are 1.000" thick.
