I have a 1969 that  I purchased in 1983, it has all the options of a Z28 except the original 302 and transmission.  It has front disc brakes, Z28 emblems, 5 leaf rear suspension, is there anyother way to verify if it is a true Z?  Because it was built in CA there are no codes on the cowl tag.   I have no original build sheet or paperwork.

How many fuel lines?

Where is the speedo cable hole in the dash? Near fuse block, or wiper motor?

Mig-welded reinforcement on driver's side rear rail for tailpipe hanger?

What does the tire pressure sticker on the door say?

Sure it has 5-leaf springs?

Tall rear bumper guards?

12-bolt axle? Stamped code on front of pass. side axle tube?

VIN and cowl tag numbers?

Since I sold all the parts listed many times in my 15 years behind the counter the presence of any or all of them means little on an undocumented car.

Without genuine Chevrolet factory documents or original VIN-stamped driveline components you have no idea what it is. Spend accordingly.
