Restoring a March 1968 327 distributor and would like to know if the original advance pod had these markings on them.
Please look at the pictures it seems like the white zig zag marking is original and maybe someone added the arrows with R and A for advance/retard. What have other people seen on the pod?

I've never seen those marks, owner added IMO. There should be a stamped identification number on flat part of the tail.  B1 is a good can to use nowadays.

I can try to look later. I have several dozen original distributors. Been seeking a few recently. Not sure if I have any with that number.

Over the years I have looked at a lot of distributors but have never seen markings like that.

Could that be a white Number "4" on its side?

Let me Guess:
