Carburator date code

Is this a possible location for a carb date code? Most I have seen are near the part number on the body, not on the throttle plate. Since it is partly off the plate, my best read of the number is 2278.

According to Chevrolet by the Numbers that is a correct location for the date on some carbs.

Since it is partly off the plate, my best read of the number is 2278.

2278 = Wednesday August 14, 1968
