Front Parking Light Assembly Help

Soooo, I am running the new headlight harness and ran into an issue.

The old harness that was plugged into housing was designed so that the 2 contacts and black piece  were put in from the bulb side.

The harness ends I have are longer, and from looking at pictures on eBay they just twist into the housing from the rear.

Even if I cut the new wires, the white connector will not seat correctly in the housing because it is longer.

Any one know why the difference? Do they sell just the housing for these lamps? Am I stuck getting new lamp assemblies?

All's good. I just went ahead and ordered the lamps above.

So the new lens came today and I changed them out. Question though, looking at the pictures, are these original or replacement/aftermarket? i ask because if they are, why does my wiring harness not fit like the after market did?
