I have a rear antenna on my 69 Camaro that I bought from a restoration parts place 21 years ago. They sold it to me as an original NOS 3943653. I'm seeing other NOS for sale on the internet but they have a groove around the "ball" end. Is mine not an original GM since it's missing the groove? Picture shows the groove that mine is missing.

I posted about the grooved vs. non-grooved AM antennas to see if this was another design change or another manufacturer. Not enough info to say conclusively. Seeing both used

Thanks X66 for that link, great discussion there. I walked away with the knowledge that some original GM had the groove, some didn't per examples of guys with original untouched cars. I love this site! Thanks a lot.
