9F dated voltage regulator on an 06A car???

A friend of mine told me his original 06A 69 SS 396 has a 9F dated voltage regulator.  Didn't argue but is that possible?

I guess it could be because no one knows what week 06A cars were made???

The date on the body tag is when Fisher Body released the build order, not necessarily when the car was final-assembled. 06A at Norwood is the entire month and spans VINs N652xxx-N665xxx. There is overlap at the beginning and end of the month. The first few days of June cars with 05E tags were built; the first few days of July the last 06A tags were built.

A car with an 06A tag and a later VIN could have been built with a June VR.
