The repro parts houses list an adhesive label warning that 103 octane must be used or.....else, basically...

Is that another invention by a label printer somewhere?

They were with out a doubt on the consoles of L88's which have 12.5:1 compression thus requiring 103.
KURT I guess the question would be regarding ZL1's... were they 12.5:1 compression as well? I ONLY ASK because of the way the ZL1's are listed on the CORVETTE TANK SHEET - ALUM CYL CASE
If so one would believe the decal would have been somewhere.

I had the same question:   Did the ZL1 cars get that same octane warning label on the console? or somewhere?  Or did the Aluminum construction allow the ZL1's to get by with lesser octane?

No ZL1 Camaro is known to have been built with the octane warning label.

Learning more and more about less and less...
