Distributor cam lubricator

Does anyone know what this is and how to do it?  It shows in the 69 owners manual as a regular maintenance item. On Pg. 66 it says to change cam lubricator end for end @ 1200 mi. intervals and replace @ 2400 mile intervals.  I'm unfamiliar and, can't find any details on it.

It's that little piece of felt attached to the distributor points plate (see attached). You lube it with P/N 1948792 cam lubricant (see picture) or equivalent. Notice how the Chassis Service Manual states not to oil it, but GM supplied lube to do just that!!

Anyone know of a suitable and modern lubricant for the felt?  $34.99 on eBay is a bit steep for antique grease.

Engine assembly lube.  Use it on every distributor I rebuild.  Wipe it into the wick (nothing crazy just apply some and rub in) and a thin layer on the cam lobes and call it good.

It is an oil capsule to place on the wick.

I just use a VERY thin layer of DIELECTRIC GREASE on the cam itself. Works fine, lasts a long time, cheap and you can get it at any auto parts store.

 I must admit, there is a certain amount of 'fun' to owning these old cars that require maintenance such as tune-ups.
Nothing like worrying about cables of a timing light from falling into the fan while getting close enough to see a resemblance of a timing mark on the damper and not hitting the belts, to keep you alert.

Good comment Mike S. Some of us geezers grew up with this stuff and many didn't. Remember when most new points came with a small plastic tube of grease for the cam? As I recall GM was one of the few manuf. that put the little felt to hold the lube. Rubbing it on the cam works the same way.

The Accel points are still supplied with a new felt and lube which is nice, exactly like what Mike posted from Paragon.  So if that's what you're looking for Maroman, I believe Accel is the only one out there still doing it.
