What was the significance of the 67 Camaro in primer with the cowl hood? (All the other cars look like day2 cars, the 67 looked like it wasn't finished yet?)

I thought I read a while back it was getting restored, I see that is just starting now.
It will be cool to see the Superman car finished.

(I thought he bought it months ago, but the thread only started in June, maybe I am remembering wrong..)
