Steering Column Shim

Does anyone know if the 69 gets a shim between the main steering column dash bracket and the dash? I see this shim in 67-68 camaro drawings, they get one on the RH side. But on the 69, looking at page 132 of the 69 Assembly manual, it doesn't show a shim. Can anyone help clear my confusion?
