Cowl hood solenoid wire routing

I'm installing a repop cowl hood (YearOne) and there doesn't appear to be a hole for passage of the solenoid wire to run thru the hood reinforcement. This was just relayed to me by the mechanic who is doing the last of the details in wrapping-up the restoration. A picture and/or measurements (of this area) from an original cowl-hood equipped car would be greatly appreciated!

Are you taking about the big hole in the middle of the lower part of the hood (with it up) with the rubber grommet, and one wire coming out of it?

Possibly...I only know my mechanic said there was a plug or grommet on the solenoid wire and he didn't know where the hole should be for it to pass thru. He didn't want to drill a hole at random, knowing it needed to be in the proper location

Here's a shot of the hood with the solenoid. Car didn't come with cowl hood so can't help there. Hope this helps.

The wire goes thru the center of the big rubber grommet that goes in that big hole where the solenoid is installed.  No additional holes required.

But - there is a clip that holds the wire to the underside of the hood, as shown in the ZL2 detail (red outline). Anyone have a clue what the part number is, and is there a reproduction of the clip ? Mine is missing from my original Z11 - ZL2 setup. Wiring is there, I've long since replaced the insulation, but the clip has always been absent.

Frustrating, sometimes -

Easy - clip comes with cowl induction harness as part of the assembly.

Clips like that come attached to a lot of wiring harnesses on many cars.  A trip to the boneyard would be in order.  I would look around (near the voltage regulator for example) on a donor car where it is easy to get behind it to release the tabs. Once it is wrapped in harness tape and installed, you can't see it.

Sorry I haven't responded since my original post. I keep hearing my car will be ready to pick up - then it's not. Next promised delivery date is Fathers Day weekend (how appropriate is that?!) As soon as I can lay eyes on it, I'll know better what the issue is. Thanks for the responses!

As a matter of fact, I was looking at my hood last night. I have the wire running to the solenoid and down to it's connection point on the firewall. It appears my wire isn't long enough to place the clip into the hole that you guys so kindly pointed out and still reach the solenoid. The clip can slide along the wire, but it's just not long enough
