With just a few weeks to go we have our room reservations.  Winter here in the north was short, but brital.  I  have some interesting parts to bring this year.  We have 10 coming this trip, 2 newbies.   Just ready for different surroundings and warm weather and southern hospitality

In the Green Field?
Make sure you get around to the front of the Speedway for the Cruise-ins on Thursday and Friday. This is on the new site for the AACA meet on Saturday.

Yes sir.  FG on the corner.  We got rooms just a short way up 77 this time  so we were all together and not in a dump.    My dad is having back trouble and having a hard time walking but it will not stop him.  The oldest guy will  be 77 and gets around the best

The good thing is there aren't any changes being made by the Speedway in the Green Field.

I have a nice variety of parts this year.   A 67 driver quality console, bbc 840 heads great for a day 2 project, a 396, 427 steel crank turned 10 ready to use, a 68, 69 Z28 crank, some Pontiac parts and after market speed parts.

If you guys could do me a small favor, and just move that meet to the west coast....

Hope it is as great meet as the past couple of years!

I am 510 miles away.   I love going.   Better weather than here in the north.    I live 6o mimes from Carlisle and don't get as excited for that

Highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
Hopefully the pine pollen will be gone.
Hey, Bullet what about Pomona?

Pomona is ok, if you have never been to a meet. I think it is over rated. Portland, Oregon, used to be a good meet. Also Turlock Ca, or for signs I have liked Auburn Indiana for labor day. I really like Hershey Pa, if you have the time, since it is pretty large.

Spooky

Is Charlotte that good? Never been there.

We go to all of them in the North East and Carlisle. We were thinking of doing Charlotte and Daytona but the cot of getting there may cut down on the others. Any Other ones to consider near New England?

I remember the  pollen several years back when everything down there looked like it was painted yellow.

Charlotte smokes Carlisle.    I stopped going to Carlisle for over 10 years and just went to Charlotte.     Everyone is so nice.  I bought an engine there and explained it to the people at the gate.    Asked if we could QUICKLY pull the guys truck off to the side get it off and onto my dolly.  After I exlpained, the motioned for a guy to come over.  He was on a golf cart.   They told us to pit it on the golf cart.    They took me to 3 feet from my truck tail gate.    Very unexpected service and VERY  greatful.   You  don't get that at Carlisle.

Spooky

Looks like it is twice the distance that Carlisle is from me 12 1/2 hours and 800 miles. May have to make it a special trip (with a newer truck).

Hershey is the mother of all swap meets and car shows and obviously, I have a prejudice in favor of the Charlotte Autofair, but Spring Autofair is huge! It fills the Speedway and spills out into two outside fields. As DS1 alluded, we have 400 volunteers from our AACA region on the field to help and guide. More vendors of the muscle car variety than Hershey.
