69 RS parking lights

Larry this might help,I can't tell for sure if the trim rings are there. This picture was taken in March 1969 by the original owner. Car is early Los 09D 68.

Here is a shot I took in 2009, as you can see no rings. The original picture shows bumper guards,and spoiler the head light squirters are gone as well. May have been in a front end hit? Or the rings were not there from the beginning.
