Hey Terry welcome to the CRG!

Can you tell us how you ran across the protecto plate? Any pics of the car?

Hi,
I used to own this car when I was in high school. Today, I was going through some old things and found it. It is the new vehicle warranty and owner protection plan booklet.

Cool, does it still have the metal credit card with the original owners name and address and the drivetrain info?

Any pics of it from back in the day?

The booklet does not have the  protect-o-plate but it still has the original owner's name, VIN, date of sale and dealer on the front. It was a Canadian car so the booklet is half English and half French. As far as pictures of the car, they are buried somewhere in my old stuff!

I understand, that is going a long way back. Can you post a pic of the manual?

My wife found a photo of the car and here is the booklet

Wow, what's the date on the photo?  Car appears to be an original D80, ZL2, Z28!  :)

The photo was taken in 1977. The car was an original Z28 with the "born with" drivetrain and documentation. I bought the car off the original owner with only 18,000 miles. When I sold the car it had 44,000 miles.

Thanks for posting those pics, great looking car. How long ago did you sell it? Did it look pretty much the same when sold?

I sold it in 1980 and it looked just like the photo.
