67 rs/ss pillar post paint

I have a 67 rs/ss capri cream (t code) with black vinyl roof. Before I stripped the paint off the bottom side of the pillars they were painted black along with the lower rocker area. For a correct restoration, do I need to paint the underside of the pillar area black or body color?

Nice car reminds me of my white, black vinyl top L30M20 from back in the day same pin stripe don't see many with that stripe, Darrell
