Correct Bi-metal choke kit

You have the wrong pivot! (Which is why you're having problems finding the right coil.)

That's a very rare 68 427/390 only pivot and I know several guys that would love to have it!! As a matter of fact, I just contacted a guy on the NCRS looking for one, so you might be getting an email. He has the one YOU need!

My picture above is what you SHOULD have, and here's a page from the Chassis Service Manual showing what you DO have (far right drawing).

 Ed, that looks like the correct linkage LVN has in his two pictures.
I am looking at my 7037210 (396/AT,AIR) and 7027211 (396/MT) and they have the same linkage as the 7027210.
The choke rod has to pull the linkage down to allow the choke butterfly to open.

You're right. I was thinking 1968 when he actually has a 1967. He has the correct pivot as per the 1967 Service Manual. Sorry about that.

Thanks everyone for your input. Pivot was confirmed by Custom Rebuilt Carbs and 67CSM. Will try reversing the choke coil as Mike suggested. Again thanks to all.
