My report on the 1967 metallic brakes has just been finished up.
Not much was previously known or put in print on this subject so
hopefully this will be a very enlightening and enjoyable read to you.

Thanks Jon,  I read that article last night and was impressed with the photos and detail, on an area I was ignorant previously ('67 metallic and J56 brakes).. :)

Of couse , these drum brake parts were used on Nova, Chevelle  even 65-69 Corvair. I run them on my Vintage Yenko Stinger Just swap them front to rear due to different weight bias. Have one new set on the shelf...impossible to find new .  Material is So hard that we go thru drums before shoes wear down

Thanks, Mark. Yes, the shoes can be very hard to find although I do have an NOS set tucked away. I just sold an NOS set of Camaro front metallic linings at Turlock a couple of weeks ago. What is even harder to find is a set of the proper springs. I have been looking for a long time.

This ebay auction has some NOS rare items associated with the '67 J56 brakes used on the Z-28. You don't see these brand new very often, to say the least.
