I think eventually cook is going to figure out the process for making gold in his shop-- :D

So if the tanks in good shape under the goop ,strip it ,coat it with Shark skin and leave it ?

I wish jano...

Here is the my tank I finished up a couple weeks ago.  Its not perfect but I think its as close as Ill be able to get it.

Darrell,

Very nice! What did you do to get that type of finish?

Yes it was spray paint.  I used a base of gray primer.  Once dry I misted it lightly with water then used duplicolor chrome and misted the tank with the water still on the tank.  Once paint was dry I wiped off the water and added another mist of the chrome paint.  What you see is the result.  It took several attempts but I think it is close to what I have at work as far as galvanized metal for reference.  Remember that the look of galvanized will be different depending the process.  Here is what the tank looked like before.

WTG, thanks for the break down on the process. I like the end product.

Thanks.  Like I said it is far from perfect but I am satisfied with it.

In the end, that's all that matters.
