Problem with tranny deepstick

Hi.

I cant get the deepstick in my ( 1967 powerglide ) tranny - perhaps the O-ring is not right ?!?!

Can anyone please tell me the correct size for the O-ring ??

O-ring size = 7/8 inch diameter, wire diameter is 0.138".
Dipstick tube slides into the case and held in place by a bellhousing bolt.
Should be a straight shot, may have to rotate the dipstick to 'bend' ciorrectly.
