Question about z28 Muncie shifter and shifter ball

Are there date codes on the shifter and what do I look for ? And how do you discern an original 1968 z28 shifter ball from a reproduction?

no date code on the 67-68 Munice shifter but some of the rods have numbers on them. Some shifters have a T on them some don't
I have a few of the shifters if you need one
They have many small  hard to find parts so it is hard to find a good original complete shifter
