67 L6 AC Oil Filler Cap (Twist On)

Does anyone know what the color was for these caps?  I've seen some that appear to be a flat black, some semi-gloss, and some that appear to be aluminium (unpainted and unchromed).  Which is correct?

Ones I've run across (on my  '66 Chevelle, 283 for example) are a semi gloss black.  Not sure if anything different was done for the L6 engines.
