327 cast iron intake manifold

Need some help, I took my quadrajet off and I have the manifold with the exhaust channel that warms the carb. I was told to put the thin metal gasket on the manifold and then the regular gasket then the carb. Or do I need a gasket, metal, gasket?  I did buy the foil inpregnated gasket the kit came with just a paper one and I remember they used to burn out in the thin corner areas. Any help would be appreciated.
