If you have a trained eye you should see a hanging rod on the right side of pick.  Can you name it?  What it does?  Where it attaches?  I'll save the answer and have some fun with this one. Cheesy

I believe that is part of the kick down lever that connects to the carb when throttle is wide open.  It attached to the trans lever.  I have a 68 so if you look in the Assembly Manual on page 337 of the M35 (powerglide option) you can see the parts

Yes it is Mike.  Unfortunately the hole for the joint has gotten bigger so my plan is to tig it and re drill.  Current condition it wont stay conected.
