Maybe I haven't looked in the right place.   I don't find a report that separates '67 Column shifted Powerglide from Floor shifted.   I wasn't curious until I saw this '67 Camaro listed on EBay, very similar optioned car.   Claims that there were only 600 built with a column shifted Powerglide.  I was wondering where he found that #.   Doesn't seem to me that the base V-8(327 - 2 bbl.) with a Column shifted base Auto. trans. would be all that rare.   Any input is appreciated!

That's because Chevrolet didn't keep this kind of record.

However, if you take all the D55 Console cars (129,477) and all the M11 Floor Shift cars (12,051) and remove these from the total 67 Camaro production (220,906), you get 79,378 cars that came with the standard column shift. Of course, there's no breakdown between automatics and manuals, but I can guarantee that there were more than 600!

All 4-speeds would also have to be deducted. Also a 3-speed floor shift was standard on SS and not shown on documentation. Those also have to be deducted.

No matter, it is way more than 600.

Actually, the column shift 3 speed was standard on the SS350. :0

Actually I was thinking that Floor shift was not standard on SS's.   I know of a SS 396 Conv. with Bench Seat, Fold-down Rear seat, and Auto. on the column.

All auto's were on the column as the default, SS or not.
