I have DZ short block 9N556974

We purchased a 1967 Corvette 25 plus years ago with a DZ shortblock. The third owner prior to us (28-29 years ago) installed the DZ shortblock. The stampings on the block are 19N556974 with assembly code V1I14DZ. The engine will be coming out soon to be replaced with a more fitting engine for a 67 Corvette. Sure would be great and fitting to marry this rascal back with the its 69Z28. The corvette was located in southeastern, PA. Anyone having any knowledge of the wherabouts of a 69Z28 with VIN 19N556974 please let me know.

Yes, have to agree myself it is a great story. Talked to the 69z28 owner and we are proceeding so the shortblock should be in the owners hands soon.

Thanks Gary! I plan on transporting the engine back to it's new home (born with z28) and plan on taking pic's as the car is a non-X car built 12A. Will post a couple when that happens.
