The guy tells me the engine is a 327 just want to make sure what it is.

It's a 283, F= Flint   03=March  02=second day  GF=283.

The F0123D is also a 283. Those aren't casting numbers, they're pad stamps; the casting numbers are raised, cast-in numbers behind the driver's side cylinder head on the bellhousing flange area, and the casting date code is on the opposite side.
